- Digital imaging and 3D CBCT: Dental radiographs are invaluable aids in diagnosing, treating, and maintaining dental health. Exposure time for dental radiographs is extremely minimal. With digital imaging, exposure time is about 90 percent less when compared to traditional radiographs. Digital imaging allows us to store patient images, and enables us to quickly and easily transfer them to specialists or insurance companies. A 3D CBCT allows amazingly detailed 3-D views of your tooth. Traditional Digital X-Rays are able to to capture two-dimensional (2-D or flat) view of hard tissues (bone and teeth, for an example), while a CBCT scan can image these anatomical structures with less distortion, more clarity, and unlimited perspectives of areas of interest. These details allow to make an accurate diagnosis and choice of treatment best for you.
